This is one of the ripest versions of this wine we've tried, and it's still only 13.5%! From the Pfalz, this is one of the best vintages right out of the gate we've tried. It's perfectly light, in balance, and delicious to drink right now. But... If you hold on to it for six months of let it open for a few hours, this wine softens up and becomes brilliantly pretty. Those two words don't seem to go together, but for this wine, somehow they do.
This is light and pretty, which makes up in character what it lacks in prettiness.
Beautiful Pinot Noir from the northern part of Burgundy (actually closer to Chablis). This is our current best value from the region, with a wine that balances both fruit and minerality.
